Job Summary

NIC General is looking to hire a self-driven and experienced Branch Manager to lead its Arua Branch operations. The ideal candidate will manage client relations, oversee branch accounting, ensure prompt claims processing, supervise staff, and contribute to revenue growth through customer retention and acquisition. The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and financial reporting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise and assist clients with general insurance queries, complaints, and appeals in line with underwriting guidelines.
• Develop new business opportunities and maintain relationships with existing clients to enhance customer loyalty and retention.
• Process policy endorsements and handle all policy correspondences related to new, renewal, or altered insurance policies.
• Manage and update books of accounts and accurately capture all business transactions, including claims and policies.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual statistical and performance reports for review by Head Office.
• Monitor premium payments on credit, and prepare monthly outstanding claims reports in accordance with reporting standards.
• Conduct risk inspections and verify claims in line with underwriting procedures.
• Prepare claim files and payment vouchers promptly for approval.
• Handle petty cash, disburse payments upon approval, and submit periodical accountabilities as per accounting procedures.
• Ensure daily banking of collected premiums and other branch receipts in line with NIC’s accounting procedures.
• Supervise all branch staff and provide leadership for smooth branch operations.
• Assist in overseeing outlet officers under the branch jurisdiction.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Branch Coordinator or management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of a Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance (COP) is required.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in the insurance industry.
