Job Summary
The Bancassurance Lead Generator is responsible for developing new and existing customer business opportunities through selling non-life insurance policies. The goal is to achieve agreed sales targets aligned with ABSA's business objectives through proactive marketing and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Compliance (90%)
- Drive exceptional sales by identifying customer needs and promoting non-life insurance policies.
- Provide direct support for sales including lead generation and timely follow-ups.
- Verify and submit correctly completed application forms in compliance with ABSA Bank policies.
- Ensure full compliance with KYC, AML, health and safety regulations.
Customer Service
- Deliver timely and professional customer service in line with ABSA Bank values.
- Handle customer complaints and applications efficiently within set service levels.
- Coordinate with internal departments to expedite issue resolution and product processing.
Performance and Development
- Participate in continuous personal development through scheduled training sessions.
- Work towards achieving performance goals and annual sales targets set by the line manager.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance (COP) – Mandatory
- Certificate in Insurance Uganda – Advantageous
- Bachelor’s Degree – Acceptable grades: 1st Class, 2nd Upper, or Lower Second Class
- At least a credit in Math and English at O’Level and 2 principal passes at A’Level
- Experience in banking sales/marketing or frontline service roles is an added advantage
- Willingness to work in the field and generate sales leads
