Makerere University e-HRMS is seeking a dedicated Ambulance Driver to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of patients to medical facilities. This role requires professionalism, quick response, and strict adherence to safety and ethical standards. Key Responsibilities

As an Ambulance Driver, you will be responsible for:

• Safe Patient Transport: Drive the ambulance to transport patients quickly and safely to designated medical facilities.

• Emergency Support: Provide necessary assistance in pre-hospital situations, including cases of heavy bleeding, respiratory distress, or other emergencies before arrival at the hospital.

• Vehicle Hygiene: Thoroughly clean and sanitize the ambulance after each trip, ensuring no soiled linen or contaminated supplies remain.

• Record Keeping: Maintain a daily log detailing patient information, trip locations, mileage, and services rendered.

• Ethical Conduct: Adhere to the professional code of conduct, maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality and integrity.

• Other Duties: Perform any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor within the scope of the role.

Required Qualifications & Experience

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

• Education: Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE).

• Driving Licence: Valid driving permit categories B, BE, DI, DIE.

• Certification: Certificate in Defensive Driving.

• Experience: At least three (3) years of proven driving experience.

• Contract Duration: 4-year renewable contract.
