Job Opportunity: Administrative Specialist

Organization: Redeem International

Location: Mbale, Uganda (Bugisu sub-region)

Job Type: Part-time (25-30 hours/week)

Mission

  • Awakening global awareness for defending widows and orphans
  • Assembling resources to protect the most vulnerable
  • Assisting law enforcement to restore victims and restrain abusers
  • Amplifying protection through community engagement and capacity building

Key Responsibilities

Facilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of office premises
  • Coordinate with Operations and HR Managers regarding office matters
  • Manage vendor and service provider work on premises

Errands

  • Procure stationery, cleaning supplies, pantry items, and consumables
  • Deliver and document payments to local vendors, partners, and service providers
  • Run other business-related errands to support casework team efficiency

Reception

  • Screen and receive guests visiting the office
  • Answer office phone line and direct calls appropriately

Clerical

  • Provide photocopying, note-taking, filing, and other clerical support
  • Maintain records of expenditures and inventory

Miscellaneous

  • Communicate with donors, supporters, media, and external parties
  • Support organizational systems, guidelines, and policy design
  • Participate in professional development and spiritual formation activities
  • Support other teams to achieve organizational objectives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Reporting & Location

Reports to Redeem’s Mbale Team Lead.
Based in Mbale with occasional travel to Kampala and other districts.

Experience & Skills

  • Ordinary Level certificate or higher
  • At least 2 years progressive experience in similar roles
  • Preferred experience in faith-based or multinational organizations
  • Fluency in English and Lugisu, excellent written and oral communication
  • Meticulous attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail
  • Computer literacy with email and web-based records applications
