About the Role
DRC Uganda is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join its dynamic team in the Country Office. The successful candidate will support daily office operations and contribute to effective implementation of DRC’s programs. This role involves coordination across departments, support in logistics and communication, and compliance with DRC’s administrative procedures.
Key Responsibilities

Welcome and direct visitors at the front desk in a professional manner.

Maintain a tidy and organized office environment, supervising cleaning staff.

Coordinate timely procurement of office supplies in collaboration with logistics and finance.

Organize workshops, meetings, and events.
-
Book domestic accommodation and international flights for staff.

Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence and phone calls.
-
Assist in ad hoc tasks and administrative duties as required.

Prepare payment requests and track administration-related invoices.
-
Oversee operation and maintenance of office equipment.

Take meeting notes during HR/Admin meetings and document action points.

Facilitate onboarding and orientation of new staff.

Maintain administrative records and filing system on SharePoint.

Support the Admin and Compliance Officer when needed.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
-
Bachelor's degree in Office Management, Business, HR, Social Sciences, or related field.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Excellent organizational and communication skills.
-
Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
-
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Ability to work independently and proactively.
Desirable
-
Previous experience working in an NGO setting.

Familiarity with administrative procedures in humanitarian or development contexts.
