The internships provide valuable training and practical experience in health service delivery and community health programming across the 9 districts of Karamoja.Background
CUAMM is implementing the project: Strengthening District Health Systems for Improved Access to and Utilization of Quality Integrated RMNCAH Services in Karamoja. The project is funded by the Embassy of Ireland in Uganda and implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Health (MOH), Uganda Blood Transfusion Services (UBTS), Mbarara University Center for Simulation, health professional associations, Moroto Regional Referral Hospital, and the 9 District Local Governments in Karamoja.Internship Specification
CUAMM is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated young individuals who graduated within the past 2 years. This is not a salaried position, however a monthly stipend will be provided for the full duration of the internship. - Midwives (8 positions): Support maternal and child health initiatives in Karamoja.
- Diploma Nurse (Pediatric qualification) (1 position): Support delivery of essential healthcare services to communities.
- Anaesthetics Officer (positions): Support maternal, newborn and child health through safe C-section-related care and anaesthesia support.
Qualifications
- Graduated in the last 2 years from a recognized institution in the relevant field.
- Passionate about making a positive impact on health and community well-being.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment.
