About Sinapis
Sinapis is a global faith-driven nonprofit that empowers entrepreneurs both professionally and spiritually so they can scale their businesses and transform the world around them. Our mission is to make disciples and alleviate poverty through the power of entrepreneurship.
We are passionate about Small and Growing Businesses (SGBs)—typically those with 5 to 250 employees—that drive local economies and account for up to 80% of new job creation. By equipping these entrepreneurs with business acumen and a Kingdom-driven mindset, we help them build sustainable enterprises that bring dignity, opportunity, and employment to their communities.
Our Vision
We envision a movement of entrepreneurs who grow their businesses from mustard-seed beginnings into impactful ventures that shape economies and influence communities for Christ.
Where We’ve Come From
Sinapis began in 2010 as a Kenyan startup accelerator. Since then, we have grown into a thriving global ecosystem with over 1,000 alumni and impactful programs in:
- Kenya
- Uganda
- Rwanda
…as well as partner-led programs in Brazil, Ghana, Egypt, Liberia, Mexico, Mozambique, Burundi, and beyond.
What We Do in Uganda
In Uganda, Sinapis operates directly to:
- Provide world-class entrepreneurship training
- Foster a supportive Christian business community
- Equip entrepreneurs to integrate faith and business
- Help SGBs overcome growth barriers through mentorship, capital readiness, and networking
We offer flagship programs such as the Sinapis Entrepreneur Academy, advanced training, and access to our alumni and mentor networks.
How We Equip Entrepreneurs
- Training: Practical business courses taught by experienced facilitators.
- Spiritual Growth: Biblical integration to nurture faith-driven leadership.
- Mentorship: Ongoing support from experienced business leaders.
- Networking: Global connections across the Sinapis community.
- Impact Focus: Businesses built not just for profit, but for purpose.
Global Reach, Local Impact
Our growth strategy is simple: identify communities with high potential for economic and spiritual transformation. In Uganda, this means empowering entrepreneurs across Kampala and beyond to become catalysts for change.
If you’re an entrepreneur, partner, mentor, or donor passionate about faith-driven enterprise, we’d love to connect.
