Job Summary
The Interviewers / Data Collectors will be responsible for carrying out structured interviews with respondents across Uganda. This involves conducting surveys face-to-face, over the phone, or online, depending on project requirements. Successful candidates will be expected to demonstrate professionalism, respect, and accuracy in data gathering.
This is a field-based role and requires individuals who are fluent in both English and at least one local Ugandan language.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct structured interviews with respondents based on specific project guidelines and within set timelines.

Accurately administer questionnaires without introducing personal bias.

Record responses clearly and consistently using data collection tools (tablets, smartphones, or paper-based forms where applicable).

Approach respondents with professionalism, explaining the purpose of the research and gaining their informed consent.

Ensure confidentiality of respondent information and adhere to Ipsos ethical and quality standards.

Meet daily and weekly data collection targets as assigned by supervisors.

Report challenges encountered in the field promptly to the Field Supervisor.
Required Qualifications and Skills
-
Minimum of a Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

Excellent communication skills in English and at least one local language.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse communities.

Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
-
Ability to work under minimal supervision and meet targets.
-
High integrity and respect for confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
Desired Experience
-
Experience in CAPI (Computer-Assisted Personal Interviews) or digital data collection tools.

Prior exposure to social research, market research, or health-related surveys.

Familiarity with structured questionnaires and field protocols.
-
Previous work as a field interviewer, research assistant, or enumerator will be an added advantage.
