Job Summary

The Casual Workers (Cleaners and Garbage Loaders) will support daily cleaning and garbage collection activities across Goma Division. They will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in designated areas, loading garbage onto collection trucks, and ensuring waste is handled safely and efficiently.

The role requires physical strength, reliability, and a strong commitment to keeping the community clean. This is not just a job but a chance to contribute to public health, hygiene, and the well-being of the residents of Goma Division.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidates will:

• Participate in daily garbage collection and safe disposal within Goma Division.

• Clean designated public areas, including roads, markets, drainage channels, and community spaces.

• Load garbage and waste materials onto trucks for transportation to disposal sites.

• Work with supervisors and fellow team members to ensure timely and efficient collection services.

• Follow all health and safety guidelines to protect themselves and the community during waste handling.

• Report any challenges or operational issues encountered during work to supervisors.

• Maintain discipline, punctuality, and teamwork to ensure smooth operations.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered:

• Must be physically fit and able to perform manual labor, including lifting and walking long distances.

• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision.

• Must demonstrate honesty, responsibility, and punctuality.

• Willingness to work in different weather conditions.

• Previous experience in cleaning, waste collection, or sanitation work will be an added advantage but is not mandatory.
