SPOUTS International is hiring a Human Resource Assistant to provide essential administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth functioning of the HR department.
Department: HR Location: Head Office, Uganda Reports To: Senior HR Generalist
Main Responsibilities Unique to the Role:
  • Support in communicating and organizing staff meetings, trainings, events, and engagements to foster a positive work environment and strengthen employee engagement (15%).
  • Coordinate with the operations team to secure supplies for the welfare and HR office to ensure smooth operations (15%).
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee HR-related matters in coordination with the HR office to enhance employee satisfaction (20%).
  • Support the maintenance of the employee database, employee records, filing, storage, and security of documents according to policy and legal requirements to improve efficiency (25%).
  • Support the recruitment and onboarding process to ensure positions are filled on time and employees receive necessary training to settle into their roles and learn the organization’s culture (15%).
  • Any other roles added from time to time in relation to departmental objectives (10%).
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Social Work & Social Administration, or any other related field.
  • Experience: 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Business Understanding/Knowledge: Experience in manufacturing is an added advantage.
  • Languages: Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Special Conditions:
  • Regular travel between Head Office and factory.
