Machine Operator/Technician (5) – Jobs In Uganda

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain industrial machines to ensure smooth production processes.

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on assigned machinery.

• Follow safety, health, and environmental regulations and guidelines at all times.

• Conduct regular preventive maintenance to avoid downtime and extend machine lifespan.

• Report equipment faults and ensure timely repair in coordination with the maintenance team.

• Record and document machine performance, production output, and any incidents.

• Assist in setting up machines based on production schedules and product requirements.

• Support quality control by inspecting output for consistency and standards compliance.

• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and quality teams to resolve production issues.

• Keep the workspace clean and organized in accordance with workplace safety standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field.

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating or maintaining industrial machines in a manufacturing or production environment.

• Strong understanding of machine operation, troubleshooting, and safety protocols.

• Familiarity with production KPIs and documentation practices.

• Ability to work in shifts, under pressure, and in a physically demanding environment.

• Team player with good communication and attention to detail.
