Job Summary

LAFAB Solutions is currently hiring energetic and dependable Loaders to join its warehouse and logistics team in Kampala. This role involves physical labor, loading and unloading goods, assisting with inventory, and maintaining safety and order in the loading zones. The ideal candidate must be physically fit, safety-aware, and capable of working in a high-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently load and unload goods from delivery trucks, containers, and other transport vehicles based on dispatch or delivery orders.
• Move products and materials to designated storage areas, shelves, or production lines.
• Organize items systematically in the warehouse or yard to optimize space and easy access.
• Follow all company safety protocols when lifting, moving, or stacking goods to prevent injuries or damage.
• Use manual tools or equipment such as trolleys, pallet jacks, and hand trucks; forklift operation may be required if certified.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing goods for visible damage and verify quantities against packing lists.
• Report missing, damaged, or misplaced items to the warehouse supervisor immediately.
• Clean and maintain orderliness in the loading zones, ensuring free movement and safety compliance at all times.
• Participate in regular stock counts and assist with physical inventory verification.
• Work closely with dispatch, security, and warehouse teams to ensure timely movement of goods.

Minimum Requirements

• Completed Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or equivalent O-Level qualification.
• Physically strong and able to carry or lift heavy objects repeatedly throughout the workday.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as standing, lifting, pushing, and walking for extended periods.
• Basic literacy and numeracy for handling load sheets or inventory documentation.
• Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and public holidays depending on demand.
• Good teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with warehouse and transport staff.

Desired Skills and Attributes

• Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and procedures.
• Awareness of safe lifting techniques and manual handling best practices.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions (for roles that involve outdoor loading areas).
• Discipline, punctuality, and the ability to follow instructions from supervisors without constant supervision.
• Reliable, honest, and hardworking with a good work ethic and strong attention to detail.

Working Conditions

• Work involves prolonged periods of physical exertion including bending, standing, lifting, and walking in a fast-paced setting.
• Shifts may vary depending on daily workloads, including early mornings or late evenings.
• Work may take place in open warehouses or outdoors where weather may affect conditions.
