Job Overview

The Senior Associate – Wealth Management Operations will manage day-to-day investment and administrative processes. You will support both local and offshore transactions, ensure regulatory compliance, assist with client onboarding, and prepare client reports. This is a full-time position based in Kampala, reporting to the Wealth Management Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Process unit trust purchases, redemptions, and transfers.
• Manage offshore securities transactions and update internal systems.
• Execute local market trades including treasury bonds and bills.
• Review client onboarding documentation for compliance and accuracy.
• Maintain and archive client agreements and investment files.
• Perform daily bank and stock reconciliations and clear outstanding items promptly.
• Ensure timely collection of income and invoice processing.
• Generate and deliver client investment statements and performance reports.
• Manage client inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional manner.
• Assist with system upgrades, user testing, and proper documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, AML, and regulatory policies.
• Prepare required reports for regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• CISI certification (Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment) is mandatory.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in banking, wealth management, or investment operations.
• Thorough understanding of Uganda’s local financial markets and global investment procedures.
