Job Overview

Mogo Uganda is hiring dynamic Call Center Agents (Collections) to join our high-performing debt collection team. If you are passionate about customer service, possess excellent communication skills, and have a talent for negotiation, this could be the right job for you.

Reporting To

Call Center Team Leader

Key Responsibilities

  • Make outbound and receive inbound calls to customers with overdue accounts.
  • Remind customers courteously about outstanding payments and due dates.
  • Accurately update customer records, call logs, and payment arrangements in the system.
  • Engage in phone-based sales activities to collect payments and resolve tracker-related issues.
  • Meet daily and monthly call/contact and collection targets.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, data privacy laws, and regulatory standards.
  • Deliver professional, empathetic, and solution-oriented customer service.
  • Escalate problematic accounts or unresolved customer concerns to supervisors.
  • Maintain a positive tone even during challenging customer interactions.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in call centers, customer service, or collections preferred.
  • Proficient in computer applications and CRM systems.
  • Fluent in at least one or more of the following languages: Luganda, Runyakitara, Swahili, or Luo.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage conflict professionally.
  • Empathetic, patient, and customer-centered mindset.
