Are you looking for Accounting Jobs in Uganda? Ranchers Finest (U) Ltd is recruiting a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payables Officer to join our finance department in Kampala. This full-time position is ideal for candidates with strong financial administration skills who can manage payments, reconcile accounts, and ensure accuracy in financial transactions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Verify and reconcile entries and compare system reports to balances.
• Charge expenses to appropriate accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice and expense reports.
• Monitor discount opportunities and resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders, contracts, and payments.
• Maintain accounting ledgers and historical records by verifying and posting transactions.
• Reconcile vendor accounts, monthly statements, and related transactions.
• Ensure timely payments to vendors and employees by scheduling paychecks and verifying expense reports.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and handle all finance-related communication professionally.
• Produce monthly financial reports and improve the payment process continuously.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least Level II of CPA or ACCA is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
• Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
• Knowledge of ERP software is desirable.
• Sound understanding of accounting procedures and compliance standards.
