Lecturer - Department of Architecture and Physical Planning
Institution: Makerere University Position: Lecturer, Department of Architecture and Physical Planning Closing Date: August 4, 2025 Reporting To: Head of Department Tenure of Appointment: Permanent Age Limit: Applicants should not exceed fifty-five (55) years of age at the time of application. Remuneration: PU6.1Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Teach, examine, and grade students
- Supervise student research
- Mentor junior staff
- Conduct research and community outreach activities
- Write proposals to attract funding for the department
- Perform any other official duties as assigned by the Head of Department
Required Qualifications
Candidates must possess qualifications in one of the following academic tracks:Track A: Architecture, Interior Design, and Landscape
- PhD in Architecture, Interior Design, or Landscape
- Master of Architecture, Interior Design, or Landscape
- Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
OR
Track B: Urban Planning and Design / Land Use Planning
- PhD in Urban Planning and Design or Land Use Planning
- Master’s Degree in Urban Planning and Design or Land Use Planning
- Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning and Design or Land Use Planning
