Donswift Company is seeking a talented and experienced Pastry Chef to join a dynamic hospitality business based in Kampala. The ideal candidate will be creative, skilled in pastry preparation, and dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of quality and cleanliness.Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, cookies, and desserts.
- Assist in developing and updating the pastry menu and seasonal offerings.
- Ensure food quality, hygiene standards, and presentation are consistently maintained.
- Manage inventory of baking ingredients and tools; report shortages or needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section and workstations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen or bakery.
- Certificate in Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or Baking is an added advantage.
- Strong skills in dough preparation, piping, cake decoration, and finishing techniques.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and ensure consistency in output.
- Creative flair and passion for pastries with excellent attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
