Job Summary
The Inventory Controller will be responsible for validating inventory records, reconciling physical and system stock, ensuring compliance with SOPs, and driving continuous improvement in inventory management processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct spot checks to verify inventory accuracy at warehouse locations.
- Reconcile system-recorded stock with physical stock on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Report operational deviations from SOPs to warehouse management.
- Recommend process improvements for inventory control.
- Ensure all stock count procedures are clearly communicated and adhered to.
- Coordinate monthly stock counts with customers and close reconciliation gaps promptly.
- Post system transactions accurately in line with source documents.
- Safely archive all operational documents used for system updates.
- Prepare daily stock movement reports to support reconciliations with customer systems (Oracle / JDA).
- Track and report warehouse errors to the Site Lead.
- Analyze and explain stock shrinkages due to system or internal issues.
- Ensure compliance with return management processes and report non-compliance.
- Track and report near-expiry stock risks to the Operations Manager / Site Lead.
- Ensure blocked stock is properly stored and only released with proper authorization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement & Supply Chain, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or Finance.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in warehouse operations, with 1–2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
- Certificate or diploma in Inventory Management required.
- Professional certification in auditing or accounting is an added advantage.
