Accountant – Full-time

Q-Sourcing Limited, trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec, on behalf of our client in the manufacturing industry, is seeking to hire a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing timely reports, ensuring tax compliance, and supporting financial analysis for informed business decisions.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain key financial statements including Balance Sheets, Income Statements, and Cash Flow Reports.

• Manage month-end and year-end closing procedures.

• Conduct financial analysis to provide actionable insights for leadership.

• Assist with budget planning and financial forecasting.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Process invoices, payments, and staff expense claims with precision.

• Reconcile customer accounts and follow up on outstanding receivables.

• Ensure timely payments to suppliers and maintain professional relationships with vendors.

Taxation & Compliance

• Ensure timely submission and compliance with statutory obligations including VAT, PAYE, NSSF, and corporate income tax.

• Prepare tax returns and support regulatory filings.

• Liaise with auditors, tax bodies, and relevant government institutions to meet compliance standards.

Bank Reconciliation & Payroll

• Reconcile bank accounts and track all financial transactions.

• Monitor cash flow and advise on liquidity management strategies.

• Process monthly payroll and ensure statutory deductions are submitted accurately and on time.

Internal Controls & Systems Optimization

• Implement and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets.

• Maintain proper documentation and audit-ready financial records.

• Support process automation and improvements in financial systems, including QuickBooks, SAP, or ERP platforms.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is highly preferred.

Work Experience:

• At least 3–5 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing, retail, or distribution sectors.

• Proven knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or other ERP systems).

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.

• Strong command of Microsoft Excel and financial modeling tools.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines under pressure.

• Ethical conduct, confidentiality, and professionalism.
