Regional Office Administrator

SNV Netherlands Development Organisation is hiring a highly organized and proactive Regional Office Administrator to lead and coordinate support operations at our regional office. This pivotal role ensures the efficiency and effectiveness of administration, procurement, logistics, fleet, warehousing, and communication with our Country Office in Kampala. The successful candidate will also serve as the regional representative of SNV, fostering strong relationships with local stakeholders, authorities, and partners.
This role is ideal for a seasoned administrative professional with experience in international development, operations management, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement, Logistics & Fleet Management
-
Supervise regional procurement activities and ensure compliance with SNV policies.
-
Manage inventory, stock entry, and withdrawal processes in line with organizational guidelines.

Oversee asset management and maintain accurate tracking from purchase to final disposal.

Coordinate transportation and fleet usage, ensuring efficiency and adherence to SNV manuals.
-
Ensure optimal facilities management including building identification, office allocations, and lease oversight.

Maintain comprehensive and organized archiving of procurement and logistics documentation (both digital and hard copy).

Promote timely and clear communication between regional teams, Country Office, and other SNV offices.
2. Operational Management & Representation
-
Represent SNV to local authorities, partners, and stakeholders in the region.

Enhance interdepartmental coordination among support services and program teams.
-
Monitor internal controls, segregation of duties, and compliance with SNV and donor requirements.

Ensure that all documents are properly completed, approved, and securely archived.
3. Human Resource Support & People Management
-
Supervise and guide the regional operations team (Procurement Officer, Drivers, Store & Admin Assistants).

Coordinate with HR and Country Office to support recruitment, onboarding, and capacity development.

Implement staff development and performance improvement initiatives to ensure consistent service delivery.

Promote adherence to SNV HR policies and safety protocols at the regional level.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Essential:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Accounting, Logistics, Human Resources, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar administrative/operations role within an international organization.

Proven experience in managing business support services across multiple functional areas.

Familiarity with policy implementation and operational systems (HR, finance, logistics, procurement).

Excellent planning, organizational, and coordination skills.
-
Fluent in English and at least one local language.
