Job Description

DKT International Uganda is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement and Logistics Intern to support the Procurement and Logistics team. This internship offers practical, hands-on experience in a dynamic work environment and is ideal for recent graduates seeking to build their careers in supply chain management.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in researching, sourcing, and evaluating suppliers and vendors.
• Support the Procurement Officer in issuing and preparing purchase orders.
• Track order statuses and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, including contracts and agreements.
• Verify documentation for supplier payments before forwarding to Finance.
• Collaborate with other departments to efficiently fulfill procurement needs.

Key Performance Indicators

• Accuracy in processing purchase orders.
• Timeliness in completing order-related tasks.
• Precision in inventory record posting.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
• Membership in a relevant professional body is an added advantage.
• Must have completed their degree within the last 2 years.
• Previous exposure to a fast-paced office environment is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel.
• Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English.
• Strong time management and proactive attitude.
• Outstanding customer service orientation.
