Receptionists (2) – Financial Intelligence Authority, Uganda

Job Overview

Financial Intelligence Authority is seeking two (2) Receptionists to serve as the first point of contact, providing courteous front desk customer service and administrative support across the Authority.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Welcome visitors and callers, answering questions and directing them appropriately.
  • Manage multiple-line phone system; route calls, take messages, and deliver information promptly.
  • Record and forward messages, requests, and contact details accurately.
  • Ensure visitor security procedures are followed, monitor registration, and issue visitor badges.
  • Handle deliveries and mail distribution with proper acknowledgment.
  • Provide timely administrative support to staff.
  • Ensure all office equipment is functional and report faults to IT.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
  • Update internal telephone directory and personnel contacts.
  • Handle filing and data entry tasks as assigned.

Person Specifications

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Business Administration, Customer Relations/Care, Receptionist Studies, Office Management, Records Management, or related fields.

Experience

  • No prior experience required. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

  • Knowledge of the Authority’s vision, mission, and objectives.
  • Integrity, confidentiality, accountability, and professionalism.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Approachable with strong verbal and written communication skills.
