Manager – Personal Assistant Relationship

Full-Time | Location: Kampala, Uganda
Deadline: 5th July 2025

NCBA Bank is seeking a goal-oriented and customer-focused Manager – Personal Assistant Relationship to drive business growth in the Personal Banking segment. This role involves providing superior relationship management, expanding the customer base, cross-selling financial products, and ensuring compliance with banking policies—all while delivering an exceptional client experience.


Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio Growth & Relationship Management

  • Grow and manage a portfolio of Personal Banking clients to achieve set targets in deposits, loans, and profitability.

  • Prospect, recruit, and retain new customers while enhancing existing relationships.

  • Cross-sell a broad range of bank products including loans, asset finance, bancassurance, digital banking, and more.

  • Conduct daily Relationship Management (RM) calls to current and potential clients.

Customer Experience & Service Delivery

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by ensuring prompt responses to queries and meeting turnaround time (TAT) standards for account opening and loan processing.

  • Monitor and improve customer satisfaction while handling complaints and issues effectively.

  • Train branch staff periodically on bank products and customer service excellence.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Ensure KYC, AML, and other regulatory requirements are strictly followed.

  • Conduct annual reviews two months before expiry and ensure the timely closure of flagged issues.

  • Manage dormant, inactive, and overdrawn accounts while maintaining a clean loan book (NPLs).

Operational & Performance Oversight

  • Monitor market trends to recommend improvements in products and services.

  • Prepare and maintain client portfolio performance reports and ensure acceptable audit ratings.

  • Support the Branch Manager in sales planning, team building, and performance evaluations.

Team Development & Leadership

  • Promote teamwork, coach staff, and provide feedback to improve performance.

  • Proactively manage personal development by meeting annual learning hour targets.


Qualifications & Experience:

Academic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field (required)

  • Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or Credit Management is an added advantage.

Professional Skills:

  • Strong credit analysis and product knowledge

  • Excellent customer relationship and sales skills

  • In-depth understanding of bank operations and compliance policies

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3–4 years experience in banking with a strong background in sales, customer service, and relationship management.
