With a strong reputation for quality and innovation, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Procurement and Logistics to lead our procurement strategy and logistics operations.


Position Overview

The Head of Procurement and Logistics is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement, supply chain, logistics, and vendor management functions. The ideal candidate will drive operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and supplier performance while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry best practices.


Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Supply Chain Management

  • Oversee procurement planning, sourcing, and purchasing of commodities in a timely and cost-effective manner.

  • Ensure smooth supply chain operations, including inventory control, customs clearance, and distribution.

  • Introduce process improvements and cost-saving initiatives across procurement and logistics operations.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure full compliance with company procurement policies, procedures, and industry regulations.

  • Establish a price-monitoring system to ensure value for money aligned with market rates.

  • Conduct transparent and competitive procurement processes with proper documentation and controls.

Vendor & Contract Management

  • Develop and maintain a supplier roster with robust evaluation, selection, and performance metrics.

  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring service level agreements are met and issues resolved promptly.

  • Prepare and monitor service delivery contracts, leases, and purchase orders.

Tendering & Reporting

  • Lead the bid solicitation process: prepare tenders, define evaluation criteria, and manage selection committees.

  • Ensure confidentiality and integrity during procurement processes and bidder debriefings.

  • Prepare and submit procurement plans and progress reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Operational Excellence

  • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and contract files.

  • Collaborate with internal departments to align procurement strategies with organizational goals.

  • Handle additional assignments and responsibilities as designated by senior management.


Qualifications and Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Professional certification and membership in a recognized procurement and supply chain management body is highly desirable.

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar procurement and logistics leadership role, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial setting.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in SAP and other procurement-related software tools.

  • Advanced computer skills, especially in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
