Job Summary
The Testing and Quality Assurance Officer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of the Fund’s software applications through rigorous testing and QA practices. This role includes the creation of test plans, manual and automated test execution, bug identification, and collaborative problem-solving with development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design detailed test plans, cases, and procedures based on system requirements.
- Execute manual and automated tests for software applications across platforms.
- Identify and log defects using appropriate tools and follow up with development teams.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and project managers to improve software quality.
- Review and analyze system specifications and business requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing.
- Create and maintain test documentation, logs, and reports.
- Integrate automated testing with CI/CD pipelines and contribute to DevOps practices.
- Participate in post-release testing and monitor live systems for issues.
- Continuously improve testing strategies and stay current with QA industry trends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- Professional certification in ISTQB, ITIL, or related QA/software testing disciplines.
Experience and Competencies
Work Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in a software testing or quality assurance role.
- Experience with test case design, test management, and bug tracking tools.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools like Selenium, JMeter, or Postman.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and participation in sprint cycles.
Technical Competencies
- Familiarity with SDLC and STLC processes.
- Ability to write SQL queries for data verification.
- Knowledge of API and web services testing.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps integration.
